Autumn 2011
Journal Entry... As if every city in Spain did not have an old town to it, there's one city that would pride itself as more medieval than the rest. With another day to spare, hubby and I went off journeying to the medieval city of Siguenza, in the Guadalajara province of Spain.

The Tren Medieval attraction awaited riders at Chamartin station, in Madrid, offering an incredible, historical and animated adventure to Siguenza. The Tren Medieval would have kept us awake on the two hour train ride to Siguenza, from Madrid, but the ride costs Euro-27, per person. A regional train that only charged Euro-10, per person, did the trick.

Walking downhill was when the most welcoming sign of the #RestauranteTabernaSeguntina appeared in sight. Extremely hungry, we wasted no second ordering a Spanish meal. Hubby ordered Toledo's version of cochinillo (roasted pork), while I ordered Toledo's version of cordero (roasted lamb). Said restaurant must be the popular one in Siguenza, as diners spilled out to the garden extension of the dining area, arriving at lunch time which, in Spain time, is about 2PM. Next door Michelin-starred restaurant (still) awaited its diners, while Taberna Seguntina already got a full house. Restaurant's meal was something to look forward to especially on a rainy day in Siguenza.
