| Like a mermaid at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore (Mar-2014) |
Journal Entry... True to expectations, time stops when one is at the Marina Bay Sands. Once inside the building complex, one can't drag oneself to get back out to the scorching summer heat in tropical Singapore.
26-mar: Arrived Singapore... Check-in: #MarinaBaySands. Hotel room had floor-to-ceiling glass windows looking out to a 180-degree city view on one side, which view we had chosen, while the Gardens by the Bay in that other side-room section of the hotel.
Hubby set the A/C temperature to high, because the sun's reflection against the glass windows was competing with the A/C system-- a minor issue drowned out by the dramatic sunset scene in the horizon on our arrival date.
Hotel guests had access to the Sky Park infinity pool in the hotel's roofdeck. I took advantage of swimming in the pool, twice. My morning swim was relaxing over croissants and cappuccino for breakfast. Such a top-of-the-world feeling to be up in the Sky Park, one could even hum the song... "I'm on the top of the world..."*wink;)
